OPEN NOW IN ADLINGTON

HYROX Training for Disley & the Lyme Park Side

Wide view of the empty Atlas Training Club gym floor

Disley sits right on the edge of the Peak District, with Lyme Park on the doorstep and the Gritstone Trail starting from the station. It's a fantastic place to build an engine. It's a harder place to find a sled, a wall ball target and a coach who programmes for HYROX. That's where we come in. Atlas Training Club is a dedicated HYROX gym in Adlington, around 15–20 minutes west of the village.

The drive from Disley

Head west along the A6 (Buxton Road West) towards Hazel Grove and join the A555. Then drop south through Poynton on London Road (B5092) to Adlington Business Park. It's roughly 7 miles, about 15–20 minutes outside peak hours (approximate; the A6 can be slow at rush hour). Parking at Atlas is free.

Hills outside, race kit inside

Lyme Park parkrun, every Saturday at 9:00, is a properly hilly 5k, and the climbs up towards the Cage and the moorland beyond will test anyone. Atlas adds what the hills can't:

  • Sled push and pull on a 16m track, the two stations that catch most first-timers out
  • HYROX race-day equipment for rehearsing all eight stations in race order
  • Engine conditioning on SkiErgs, RowErgs and Assault Bikes when the weather shuts the trails
  • Strength coaching on Olympic platforms and racks, to make your legs and back robust for the lunges and farmers carry

Who travels from Disley

Hill and trail runners. Cyclists heading for their first HYROX. Commuters who pass along the A6 anyway. Families who'd like a gym where a beginner and a seasoned racer can share the same class. Coaches scale every session, so nobody's left behind.

Weekend mornings

Atlas is open 7:00–12:00 on Saturdays and 8:00–12:00 on Sundays, so you can run Lyme Park parkrun and still make a late-morning open gym session. Check the timetable in the Atlas Member App for class times.

The café, and recovery coming soon

A Finnish sauna, ice bath and Recovery Spa are coming soon, with no opening date yet. In the meantime, our café, open to everyone, is the place to refuel and chat after training.

Try a session with a £16 day pass, or take the £75 14-Day Experience, which comes off your membership if you join within 2 weeks. Atlas Pro, with unlimited classes and open gym, is from £149 every 28 days.
