A Dedicated HYROX Gym for Cheadle Hulme

Wide view of the empty Atlas Training Club gym floor

Thanks to the A555, getting from Cheadle Hulme into Cheshire is a quick hop east and then south. At the end of it is Atlas Training Club: a gym built from the floor up for HYROX, with coached classes, open gym and race-day equipment.

Route and journey time

From the village centre, take Station Road and Ravenoak Road (A5149), then Church Road and Gillbent Road to the A555 (Manchester Airport Eastern Link Road). Head east, then turn south onto Roy Chadwick Way (the Poynton Relief Road, A523). Adlington Business Park is just off the end. It's about 6 miles, typically 12–20 minutes depending on traffic (approximate). Free parking is waiting when you arrive.

Fits around a Manchester working day

Lots of Cheadle Hulme residents commute into Manchester or work near the airport. Atlas opens at 6:00 on weekdays and stays open until 20:00, so you can train before work or on the way home. Saturdays run 7:00–12:00 and Sundays 8:00–12:00.

What makes it different from a high-street gym

You won't find rows of identical machines. You'll find:

  • A 16m sled track with push and pull lanes
  • HYROX race-day equipment and wall ball targets
  • Coach-led programming (Atlas Perform), where every session builds towards long-term progress rather than random workouts
  • Race simulations in a competition layout, so you can test pacing before the real thing
  • A strength zone for Olympic lifting and barbell work

Local running, Atlas strength

Cheadle Hulme parkrun loops Bruntwood Park every Saturday at 9:00, and the Ladybrook Valley paths make an easy midweek run towards Bramhall. Use those for your running miles, then come to Atlas for the stations, the strength and the coaching.

Who it suits

Busy professionals who want structure without having to design their own plan. Friends signing up for HYROX Doubles. Former team-sports players missing competition. And complete beginners: no experience needed.

After you train

Our café is open to everyone. The Finnish sauna, ice bath and Recovery Spa are coming soon, with no opening date yet.
