HYROX Gym near Bollington

Wide view of the empty Atlas Training Club gym floor

Bollington knows about hard work on hills. If you've ever run up to White Nancy on Kerridge Hill, you already understand what HYROX feels like in your legs. Atlas Training Club, in Adlington, gives Happy Valley the other half of the equation: a dedicated HYROX training floor about 10 minutes up the road.

Getting to Atlas from Bollington

Leave the village on Henshall Road (B5090) and pick up Flash Lane (B5091) to the A523 London Road. Then it's a straight run north, past the Prestbury turn-offs, to Adlington Business Park. It's about 4.5 miles, roughly 10 minutes outside rush hour (approximate; traffic varies). There's free parking on site, so there's no hunting for a space before a 6am session.

Bollington training, meet race-day kit

Bollington's outdoor training is brilliant: the Middlewood Way crossing the village on its viaduct, the Macclesfield Canal towpath past Clarence Mill, and the climbs up Kerridge Ridge. What it can't give you is a sled lane, a wall ball target or a SkiErg. At Atlas you'll find:

  • A 16m sled track for the push and pull
  • HYROX race-day equipment, including wall ball targets and functional stations
  • SkiErgs, RowErgs and Assault Bikes for engine work
  • A strength zone with Olympic lifting platforms, racks and free weights

Pair Atlas Run sessions with your own canal and ridge miles, and your running and station work finally grow together.

Who it suits in Bollington

Trail and fell runners who want to add strength without losing their legs. Parents who need an early slot before the school run (we open at 6:00 on weekdays). Anyone who's watched friends race HYROX and fancies a go. You don't need experience. Classes are scaled to every level.

After the session

Grab a coffee at our café (open to everyone) and meet the community. Our Finnish sauna, ice bath and Recovery Spa are coming soon, with no opening date yet.
